東京 COMICS WORKSHOP 2025 #02 — HANAMI

A four-day workshop created by the Creasidence team in collaboration with mangaka Akira Fukaya, uniting 20 visual storytellers to celebrate Hanami (花見) and the beauty of cherry-blossom season.

Working shoulder-to-shoulder with Fukaya-san and Creasidence mentors Katya Chinaski and Alissa Salah, participants explored different ways of conceiving a story on one page and around one frame by Fukaya-san. Each page becomes a separate distinct approach to the visual storytelling, blending the traditions of Japanese, American and European comics cultures.

What you’re about to read was conceived, illustrated, and completed in just four days, with artists working in teams alongside people they had never met before.
